Develop Your Business English

The frequent weekly sessions have enabled me to enhance the way I present content to our clients, either through client visits or online PPT presentations of KPIs. I would say that not only am I more structured and more native sounding in the way I pronounce, but my clients are happier and better informed for their own decision making. Business really does come down to establishing connections and partnerships for mutual benefit, through clear communication.

I must admit I was nervous in getting involved in meetings before and found it difficult to put forward my ideas. Those feelings have long gone. The 1-1 coaching course, that my company invested in, changed all that in just a few months of intense learning and constant feedback. I really appreciate the personalised interaction and language relevant to my work. Today, I can talk about my product in English with confidence and handle daily problems that come up with clients, stakeholders, and my team.

I have taken on board vocabularly to describe data, provide insight and use specific language related to going over figures. Data always speaks for itself. That said however, being able to explain it clearly, while using strong vocabulary and expressions is not only an absolute added value for me, but most importantly for our customers.

Learning presentation language to run in-house training workshops has improved my English, and on top of that, it has given me more self-belief. Another key aspect of my work is interviewing candidates in English. Role play within the course allows me to be fully prepared to ask the right open-ended questions. In fact now, I am even able to analyse the candidate's own use of English!
